IAN ETHAN CASE
Following a busy 2016 which included his first tour of Europe, two performances with a full symphony orchestra, and roughly 39,000 miles of travel within the US alone, Acoustic Double-Neck Guitarist and Candyrat Records artist Ian Ethan Case presents a new tour for 2017, previewing music from his upcoming album Earth Suite and featuring a never-before-seen custom instrument affectionately dubbed "The Beast". Incorporating newly developed "acoustic synthesis" technology from American inventor Paul Vo, the instrument was co-designed by Case and private luthier Wade Sylvester and took over 7 years to build. With an array of tuning levers allowing for accessing hundreds of tunings on the fly, along with sophisticated electromagnetic technology that physically manipulates the vibration of the 12 strings, be prepared to hear other-worldly sounds you've never imagined coming from a guitar, double-neck or otherwise. Joining Ian will be live looping and electronic effects specialist Stephanie Case, adding even more sonic and orchestrational variety to the mix.
GRAYSON ERHARD
Grayson Erhard is a singer / songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the small town of Del Norte, CO, USA known for songs showcasing vocals over a unique style of tap/slap guitar playing. He is the youngest guitarist to be featured on one of the worlds most prestigious guitar-focused record labels, CandyRat Records. Growing up outside of a town with a population of 1,800, Erhard experienced little distraction from developing his musicianship. His music communicates a message of self-sustainability, anxiety, love, and accomplishment. Early songs like Tapestry display a writing style where technical guitar performance is combined with metaphorical lyrics. However, after putting the guitar down to learn other instruments, a new love for simplicity and strong, direct messages developed in his music. His lyrics are a public journal spanning from positive, uplifting material to songs that reflect the challenges often faced by people in unhealthy relationships, dodgy living situations and the endless search for happiness. Erhard has an intense determination and D.I.Y mentality. In response to career obstacles, he began singing to become an independent songwriter and programmed computer software to build an online community. He has performed at venues ranging from 50,000 capacity stadiums to small, intimate clubs nationally and shared the stage or studio with artists such as Andy Mckee, Shakey Graves, American Authors, Keith Moseley / String Cheese Incident, The Meat Puppets, Soul Asylum, Tribal Seeds, The Flobots, and Passafire.
