Stunning harmonica talent from around the world converge for this five day convention...
this year it comes to Denver! The Blues Blowoff is the traditional kickoff show, it's entirely unique. A true bucket list event for any blues fan!
The Delta Sonics are the house band for this show. These guys are a first call pickup band for numerous national acts, front man Al Chesis is as entertaining as they come.
Jimi Lee - Austin TX: Representing Seydel harmonicas, one of the hottest rack players on the planet, and perennial leader of the roving hallway jams at the annual SPAH convention.
Dale Spalding - New Orleans: The esteemed front man for Canned Heat since 2007. Everyone is looking forward to Dale's 1st appearance in this traveling showcase.
John Long - The world renowned acoustic bluesman from Kansas City. Prepare to be taken deep into the blues by this statesman of the art.
Will Scarlett (Hot Tuna) - Early pioneer of the harmonica overblow technique, and still an innovator on this instrument. Engaging and then some.
Jason Ricci - This year's co-host is fresh off the 2015 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Show! Jason produced this event for several years... it's a treat to have him back in the room and in top form. "Jason achieves speeds on the harmonica that make John Popper look like he's standing still" "Jaw dropping virtuosity" "Presence, precision and attitude"
Nic "Cottonseed" Clark - The young heir apparent to old guard players such as the Sonny Boys, Walter Horton & James Cotton. Nic is being widely described as a "once in a generation" talent.
Koei Tanaka - A monster jazz player from Japan representing Suzuki Harmonica. Koei has brought down the house on several continents.
Joe Filisko w/Eric Noden - The world's premier harmonica customizer and GREAT player. Yep, the very same Joe Filisko whose signature is on the box of some high end Hohner products
The SPAH Youth Showcase - Loaded every year with stunningly talented young players. (Must See)
Ronnie Shellist - One of the best traditional blues players on the national circuit, host of Hohner's popular 'Traveling Road Show', and early Youtube teaching sensation with many millions of hits.
